This is perhaps my love for the manner in which his character is the rare comic on Law & Order: SVU. It is perhaps the fact that he is quite confident to sport a tail of horse all too similar to a rat tail. But I can't help wondering why, when Chris Meloni left Law & Order: SVU, Detective end of the Ice - T cannot replace detective Stabler.
As a big fan of detective Stabler initially Meloni, I'll admit whoever replaces him has big shoes to fill. He (or heck, she) must have a commanding presence on the small screen, proving he could control the procedure and be an interesting enough character to encourage viewers to tune SVU each week. But Ice - T - who signed for two seasons of the series - have all these traits: he stole scenes of designated Emmy colleagues time, is truly credible as a detective in New York (most look fantastic and ready to shoot while chasing a criminal, Mariska Hargitay pictures) and would introduce a fascinating dynamic on the show as the partner of detective Benson. Stabler, then the aggressive ying to yang charged emotion of Benson, end, and Benson would hardly work together in harmony: several times in the past, we have seen fin criticized Benson for it, ahem, slightly more prudish ways. (Remember when he blamed poo-pooing a hobby, he loves, pornography online) We watched the brutal murder of SVU tackle - after the brutal murder after the brutal murder some new tensions in the workplace could be that the show must continue to cool things.
In addition, viewers are already comfortable with Ice - T fin. For NBC encourage viewers to return without Meloni, they need to make SVU a security zone. Too often during performances attempt to replace the stars with even greater stars, they eventually modify any tissue in the series, turning it into a vehicle Emmy for what film star has decided dabble briefly on television. But Hargitay and Meloni - hardly household names when created in 1999 - SVU have proven that you do not have a big budget film credit on your curriculum vitae to knock on the small screen. SVU ain't broke, NBC - don't feel the need to fix with the last clameur de trophy film actor. Ice - T, is simply cool. Then I to be the next player to heat the series.
